Area Director’s Visit 10th March 2016;
The meeting began with the Toastmaster of the day, Helen,
saying that on March 10th 1915 a little boy named, Lloyd George Doel,
was born and now 101 years later his daughter was the Pania Clubs President and
Toastmaster of the day. (aka herself) Helen offered other history facts
throughout the meeting.
She also warmly welcomed the four visitors, Anna, Rosalind,
Emma and Patrick.
Mike introduced Carol and evaluated her speech in a most
robust manner. Carol’s speech was all about ‘synchronicities’ and was very well
received by everyone. When Helen asked the visitors to comment about their
meeting experience this speech was mentioned.
Jen lead Table Topics in a most hilarious manner. She asked
each participant to review the book she handed them. Their imagination certainly
had everyone laughing. Wendy evaluated these in her usual professional
manner.
The second speech, by the Area Director, Peter covered how
well the Pania Club was doing and gave facts and figures to support his views.
Inter club coming up events were; Area contests, District
contests and the Division conference.
Carol had a poster on the wall which said;“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.” –
Confucius
The meeting concluded with Anna joining the club. Anna’s
experience in Toastmasters will certainly be an asset to us all and we welcome her.
