Final Meeting 2012

Hello to Pania Members.

Our final meeting for 2012 was a relaxed one, as befits the Season.
Everyone present had bought a gift to be given to the HB Today Christmas Appeal, sharing details – how, why- and other assorted information that may or may not have pertained to the actual gift! All made for a different Table Topics session.

Meeting 29th November 2013

Hi to all you Pania members,

We had an exceptional meeting today! it was exceptional on several counts (as most of our meetings are!!) but it was most exceptional because we had NOT ONE BUT TWO Ice Breakers!!! These were  genuine Ice Breakers, from new members. Congratulations to Darryl and Cheryl (two ryls !!) for taking the step to join our Club and for completing the first Speech Assignment and both in such excellent fashion.

Meeting 22 November

Greetings, Everyone.

Graeme & Jen shared the Toastmaster role this meeting, with Jen as an apprentice -  next time solo, Jen.
Laurence kicked off the speeches, with a Research Your Topic assignment from the Competent Communicator manual.  He researched the topic of domestic violence, sharing statistics which were somewhat surprising, showing a gap in the public perception about who actually commits domestic violence.  It was a topic which could easily have filled half and hour – Laurence used just over seven minutes.

MEETING 15th November 2013

Hi to all Pania Members,

Yesterday we had our Evaluation Contest, and four contestants pitted their skills in evaluating a speech by Mike Coombe. There was an excellent turnout of members and Guests, with 13 members and four guests, these were visiting Judges David Grant (Napier Club) and Helen Wright (Hastings Club) together with Cheryl (3rd visit) and Lindy (2nd visit). Hopefully Cheryl and Lindy will be joining our membership in the near future which will take our numbers up to the magical 20!
