Hello to Pania Members.
Our final meeting for 2012 was a relaxed one, as befits the Season.
Everyone present had bought a gift to be given to the HB Today Christmas Appeal, sharing details – how, why- and other assorted information that may or may not have pertained to the actual gift! All made for a different Table Topics session.
Wish it was always as relaxed! Having no time limit helped everyone talk easily, and most entertainingly (Is that a word?) for as long as our little hearts desired.
We had chocolates, books, small and large cars, small and large guns and variations on same, a beautiful coloured ball, books to colour, (nearly had a set of Indian jigsaws), soft, cuddly moose instead, diary, cards. A wonderful variety. Thank you all on behalf of the recipients.
We then ‘indulged’ in Christmas cake, biscuits and cheese and juice, supplied by the Club. Thank you, Pania.
Thanks to Graeme and Ian who had ‘volunteered’ to take the gifts to the HBToday office and present them anonymously. And also thanks to Ian who arranged for a box of chocolates to be given to Mary, the Hall receptionist.
We recommence on Thursday 234th January, 12-10pm, same venue. A new programme will be in action. If you would like to do a speech then or at any other meeting, please let Graeme know.
Happy Christmas, everyone, and all good wishes for a health-filled, 2013.
