"Super"
"Wonderful" "Perfect" "Hallelujah" these were some of the words used at our
Pania meeting on 6th December - read more
"Hallelujah"
was without doubt our most popular word ! That is because Carol was our
grammarian for the day and encouraged us to use "Hallelujah" as often as
possible.
Well
done Carol!
Marc
was our Toastmaster and gave an impeccable example on how to handle that role.
Kept the meeting moving along nicely and gave everyone encouragement along the
way!
We
had just the one speech today and what a speech it was! Cleverly titled "Will it still be super" Craig was introduced by Paula who gave an insight as to the speech
objectives. This set the scene very nicely so the audience could sit back and
appreciate what was to follow.
Craig's
experience showed as he explained some of the problems facing New Zealands
current Superannuation fund. His knowledge and understanding came through very
strongly as he revealed what the future had in store for everyone. The speech
was not only a timely reminder but also a chance for us to see what being in
Toastmasters can do for you. Thanks Craig.
Paula
provided Craig with very good feedback both in terms of praise and suggestions
for improvement.
Darryl
was our Table Topics master today. This is achance for those not on the
programme to
give
a two minute response to the questions provided by Darryl. His questions were
varied and interesting.
Kerry
was asked "Who would you like to kiss?"
Linda
"Fried chicken for Christmas in Japan"
Trish
"Wales traditional verse"
Patrick
"Father Christmas sleigh"
Graeme
"How do you get into houses"
Carol
"Food for Santa"
Craig "Leave something for the neighbours"
Great
answer's from everyone!
Laurel
gave feedback to all those taking part. Her experience showed through and it
was a most enjoyable experience listening to her feedback. Well done
you!
Graeme summed up the meeting as General Evaluator assisted by the Grammarian, Carol and the Timekeeper Heather who kept us all up to scratch!
