"LIFE IS COMPLICATED BUT OUR JOURNEY IS OUR OWN!"

"Never trust a women" and "Life is complicated but our journey is our own!" intriguing words spoken by Marc and the Title given by Stephanie, our two speakers at Pania's meeting on Thursday 23rd March.

Stephanie's speech was introduced by Jen in a very positive and encouraging manner. It was Project Four from the Competent Communicator Manual, which places emphasis on using words clearly, accurately and vividly. Stephanie produced a very meaningful and sincere talk outlining her concerns on issues confronting people today. Not only was it thought provoking but also of a very high standard. Jen's evaluation reflected those attributes along with stating how well Stephanie had achieved the speech objectives. Jen also suggested that Stephanie project her voice a little more.

Marc's speech was Project Seven from the CC Manual which was all about researching your topic and it certainly was! Laurel introduced Marc, explaining her expectations of this assignment with a lot of enthusiasm. Marc quickly gave his response to being a blood donor for the very first time combining both fear and humour quite succinctly. His ability to produce supporting data was not unlike a magician plucking little surprises out of the air at the blink of an eye.Experience certainly showed through with very good speech structure.
Laurel gave an insightful evaluation with both praise and suggestions for improvement. Her suggestion re stating the source of Marc's information made a whole lot of sense.

Jane was the Chairperson for the day and what a great contribution she made with a clear and easy to understand program along with good control over the way in which the meeting unfolded.Well done Jane.

Table Topics about words was capably run by Darryl. One could almost sense the pleasure he had for his subjects as well as those who were selected.
"Monkey's wedding" David; "Funambulist' Helen; and "Gongoozler" Craig.
Barbara did a marvellous job evaluating those taking part. She had very helpful feedback both in terms of praise and suggestions for improvement. Thank you Barbara.
Darryl pleaded to ask more people. Denied !!!

Timekeeper Linda provided speakers times with speech times of 8mins 20secs for Stephanie and 7mins 11 secs for Marc. The meeting concluded on time!!
